How AI is going to change the future of sales enablement and CI

Most sales enablement tools in the market? Let’s be real, they’re basically glorified Google Drives. You spend hours organizing compete content like battlecards, research documents and more into neat folders to solve the problem of discoverability for GTM teams. Then you have the even bigger problem of increasing adoption for these tools and justifying the money spent every year.

But AI just flipped the script. How cool would it be if you could halve the time you spend on research? What if you never had to spend another minute organizing folders? What if I told you your sales teams could create custom collateral based on all of the compete content you’ve built out?

With so many new tools coming out on a daily basis, it can be hard to filter the signal from the noise. To make things easier, we have highlighted a few standout options, to help your teams work smarter and more efficiently. Make sure to explore and see which best fits your needs.

Here are some tools that can help you get started on this journey:

Perplexity

Perplexity has become my go-to whenever I want to research a new company. It gives you a clean summary of what’s needed without having to click on multiple links or dodge sponsored results.

You can follow up with clarifying questions directly, then share the whole thread with your team.

Also, if you subscribe to their enterprise plan, you can store all of your product marketing and competitive intelligence content directly on the Perplexity platform and enable team members to search all the content that you have created.

NotebookLM

NotebookLM acts as a centralized repository for all your documents, videos, and any other multimedia file (like PDFs or PowerPoint presentations). You can chat with your content (really!) and pull out exactly what you need for sales, CI, or onboarding.

BI hot take: Tools like NotebookLM have the potential to replace most traditional static sales enablement tools on the market today!

Cluely

Last but not least, I’ve personally been using Cluely for a week or so now, and I absolutely love it. Cluely is essentially an invisible AI assistant right on your screen.

It started out as a tool for interviewers to sneak some help during interviews; while we question the ethical standards of such an application , a surprising use-case has emerged recently, which is sales. Picture this: an always-on, contextual sales assistant AI that helps reps while they’re live on calls with customers.

You can add prompts in the backend to enable Cluely to act as a helpful sales assistant to surface the latest competitive intelligence, such as recent wins, pricing changes, or new competitor features. Sales reps don’t have to scramble for information, and they are always armed with the most relevant information to counter objections, highlight differentiators, and close deals confidently.
